He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Martin Priest and Ramona Mae Priest (Pettrey); his son Alan Priest; his sister Christine Priest; and his niece Jessica Cobbs.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Priest (Willis); his children, Tawnya Nutter (Paul), Rebecca Workman, Dylan Singleton, Brian Workman and Bill Workman (Tracy); his grandchildren, Tatum, Kegan Nutter, Dakota, Dominick, Seasons, Jay Singleton, Skylar Bradley, Cheyenne, Jeremiah, Isaiah Workman, Brittany, Chelsie Workman and Mackenzie Shane; his sister Renotta Bradley (Karyn Barclay); and his sibling's children, Shane, Justin, Alex Bradley, Melissa Aue (Richard) and Ashley Richardson (Dominique).
