He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Mitchen and Annastasia Mitchen (Berlyak); his son Richard Mitchen Jr.; and his siblings, Barbara Bradley and John Mitchen.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mitchen (Hayden); his grandson Austin Mitchen (Brittany Winkler); his great grandchild Penny Mitchen; and his brother Raymond Mitchen (Cathy). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins.
