He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Young and Josephine Young; his brothers, Ray, Bob and Gene; his brother-in-law Charles Weber; and his son-in-law Mike Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Nettie Powell Young; his sister Judy Weber; and his sister-in-law Janice Young. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
