Joann Layton Obituary

Joann Layton, age 79, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 1, 2019. Joann was born on December 17, 1940 in Tifton, GA to the late Ernest M. and Gladys (Blankenship) McGough. She is survived by her children; Donna Kirk, James C. Layton, Jr. and Teri (David) Crookshank; Grandmother of seven, Great-grandmother of many.

Sister of Nell (David) New, Lucille (Tommy) New and Tally (Christie) McGough. Joann was preceded in death by her husband James C. Layton, Sr.; her brothers, James, Charles and Robert McGough and sister, Katherine Allen. Her graveside inurnment service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 11539 National Rd. SW (Route 40, Main St.) Pataskala, OH 43062 at a later time and date.
