He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Darlene; his daughters, Colleen McDonnell, Meghan McDonnell and Caitlin McDonnell (Mike Waclo); his siblings, Beth McDonnell, Kevin McDonnell (Pat) and Tim McDonnell (Terri); and his parents, Bonnie McDonnell and Frank McDonnell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cotner Funeral Home (7369 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
