He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Ernest Barnes and Ethel Barnes (Lanham). He is survived by: his children, Paul R. Barnes and Carolyn J; his granddaughters, Stephanie Barnes and Bethany Downey (Jessie); and his great grandchildren, Emma and Olivia Downey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley Ridge Chapel (2225 Taylor Park Dr, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Licking County Foundation (Barnes Scholarship Fund) or Wesley Ridge Retirement Center.
