He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sargeant and Harriet Sargeant (Campbell); his son Mark Alan Sargeant; and his siblings, Denny Sargeant and Joan Crites.
He is survived by: his wife Freda Sargeant (Bryan); his daughter Cindy Sargeant Horan (James); his daughter-in-law Joy Sargeant Clements (Jim); his sister Marilyn Rotella; and his grandsons, Troy Sargeant and Austin Horan.
