He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdi Barker and Gay Lee Kelly Barker. He is survived by: his children, Leticia Pence, Russell C. Barker, Jr. (Lisa) and Kathy Jo Akers (Ken); his close friend Edna Woodward; and his sister Mary Wilson.
