He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard "Dick" Gray and Emma Lynn Gray (Boaz). He is survived by : his wife Judy (Cooperider); his children, Betsy Baer (Tony) of Richwood, Casey Daum (Lucas) of Richwood and Michael Gray (Natalie) of Chagrin Falls; his grandchildren, Sam, Levi Baer, Cora, Micah, Henry Daum, Harrison and Serour Gray; and his brothers, John David Gray (Linda) of Radcliff, Stuart A. Gray (Christy) of Richwood and Thomas Richard Gray (Kim) of Powell.

Jim was also a big proponent of tissue and organ donation, he was able to help this cause in the end.
