He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice "Mort" Cordes and Margaret Cordes (Baden); his brothers, Richard "Dick" Cordes and Scott Cordes; and his niece Sara Steffey.
He is survived by: his son Joseph; his daughter-in-law Haley Cordes (Rathge); his grandson Cale Cordes; and his siblings, Sue Kirby (Jim) of Laurinburg, NC, Sally Steffey (Rick) of Okolona, OH and Ted Cordes (Sandy) of Ridgeville Corners, OH. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
