He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Mathews and Elizabeth Mathews (Donald); and his half-sister Bonnie Mathews Hilton. He is survived by: his half-brother Ron Mathews (Kathy) of Elkton, Oregon; and his siblings-in-law, Augie Schwallie of Ripley, Jim Schwallie of Ripley, Greg Schwallie (Peggy) of Washington and Andrea O'Connor of Destin, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cahall Funeral Home (1011 S 2nd St, Ripley, OH 45167). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
