She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Shields and Blanche Shields (Hockensmith); her husband Leonard Highfield; her children, Blanche Fowler, Audrey Boone and Vincent Highfield; and her half-sister Jessie Blevins.

She is survived by : her children, Tiny Hall of Ripley, Patsy Bradford (Larry) of Ripley, Charlene Ralston of Aberdeen, Ohio and Angelo Highfield (Lisa) of Aberdeen, Ohio; and her stepdaughter Linda Leming of Vanceburg, Kentucky. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
