He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rutherford and Hazel Rutherford (Wiseman); and his siblings, Dorothy McWilliams (Dort), Neva Ackers (Madeline), Roy and Victor Rutherford.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stoepfel; his sons, Harvey Rutherford (Denya) of Spring Valley, WIS and Alan Rutherford (Tara) of Findlay; and his brothers, Clarence Rutherford (Pete) and Robert Rutherford (Nellie). He is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
