He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hartzler and Pauline Hartzler (Winkler); his wife Sandy; his brothers, Kenneth and Richard Hartzler; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Hartzler of Rittman and Dale Bauman.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer (Joel Moine), Aaron (Jen Hartzler) and Sarah (Joseph Ellis); his grandchildren, Joellyn, Joanna, Jessica, Jennay Moine, Samuel, Seth, Levi, Nathanael and Lydia Hartzler; his siblings, Dean Hartzler of Rittman, Kate Hartzler of Rittman, Lynell (Ron Palitto) of Wadsworth and Nancy Bauman of Rittman; and his sister-in-law Karen Hartzler of Rittman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
