He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marion Whitford and John Moritz Sr.; his mother-in-law Doris Hetzel; his sister Susan Linderman; his wife Donna Moritz; his sons, Aaron (Tiffany) and Michael Moritz (Erica); his grandchildren, Steven, Jesse, Landon, Jordyn and Ruby; his brothers, Charles Moritz (Teresa), Michael Hacker (Pearl), Robert and Jim Moritz; his niece Leah Simmons; and his nephews, Brayden Simmons and Robert Linderman.
