He was predeceased by: his father Charles L. Painter; his siblings, Linda Ramey and Lewis "Boose" Painter; and his brother-in-law Barry Lloyd. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lloyd; his children, Shannon Painter-Carpenter (Adam Carpenter) of Rockford, Ohio and Brandon Painter (Jessica) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his siblings, John Painter (Dixie) of Fort Wayne, Jeff Painter of Rockford, Stuart Painter (Covina) of Decatur, Indiana, Sherry Adler (Brad) of Willshire and Lisa Caffee (Jon) of Decatur, Indiana; his sisters-in-law, Gayla Painter of Willshire and Linda Lloyd of Crossville, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Elle, Bennett Painter, Wyatt, Rhen and Sage Carpenter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
