With sadness, we share the passing of Nancy Lou Leighner of Rockford, Ohio. Nancy, born on September 13, 1937, passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy H. Leighner; and her parents, Elmer Hoke and Sylvia Hoke (Oswalt). She is survived by: her stepmother Edna Hoke; her daughters, Cindy Renee Thompson (Doug) and Nancy; and her grandchildren, Elissa Welborn (Ben), Shalyn Leighner (Sarah), Paige Thompson, Ross Leighner (Eli), Makynna (James), Carter, Ayeana, Maddox, Maverick, Kingston Rohen, Hadleigh, Riglee Evangeline and Cooper. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, greatâ€'grandchildren, and a greatâ€'greatâ€'grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home (111 W 1st St, Rockford, OH 45882). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a quiet moment in nature, a shared meal or game, or an act of kindness in her memory. Donations can be made to the Parkway Booster Club or Rockford United Methodist Church .
