He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph VanTilburg and Alice VanTilburg (Wolfe); his sister Jennelle; and his brothers-in-law, Richard "Dick" Brown, Dennis Hunt and Larry Hamilton (Betty).
He is survived by: his wife Deanne Hamilton; his children, Rodney VanTilburg (Elizabeth) of Tipp City, Ohio and Vicki Kruse (Dan) of Columbus, Indiana; his siblings, Richard "Dick" VanTilburg (Rebecca) of Celina, Ohio and Joan Hunt of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Jessica Kilburn (Tad), Nick Kruse (JoAnna), Sarah VanTilburg, Ethan VanTilburg (Sarah) and Jacob VanTilburg; his great grandchildren, Myles Kilburn, Lane Kilburn and Ryan Kruse; and his stepgreat-grandson Ian Ullrich. He is also survived by great grandson due in February, and a great granddaughter due in March; and several nieces and nephews.
