David Watkins Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Watkins (Linda Roberts) of Gibsonburg and Bonny Watkins (Aldrich) of Moulton, AL; his children, Landan and Piper Watkins; his stepfather Wayne Ashley; his brother Kevin Ward; his stepsiblings, Kenneth Jr., Marie and John; his nephew Sean Watkins; and his grandparents, Ruth, Edward Aldrich and Patricia Garza (Jim).
He is survived by: his wife Phylis Marty (Brockschmidt); his children, Matt Watkins of Fostoria, Christie Watkins-Darr (Robert) of Clyde, Mia Watkins of Rocky Ridge and Thaeden Watkins of Rocky Ridge; his grandchildren, Benton, Sophia, Arionah, Jarrett, Kingsley and Nathaniel; his brothers, Jeff Watkins Jr. (Becky) of Gibsonburg and Mike Watkins (Tina) of Gibsonburg; and his stepsiblings, Melinda Thompson (Dwayne) of Moulton, Robert Ashley (April) of Wooster, Tony Ward (Bev) of Youngstown and Melina Morrison of Cleveland Ohio. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory (319 W Madison St, Gibsonburg, OH 43431). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Scott Trinity United Methodist Church (6076 Co Rd 11, Risingsun, OH 43457).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, care of Phylis, the DDX3X Foundation or plant a tree in honor of David.
