He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayes and Catherine Hayes (O'Leary); his former wife Diane (Chiara); his daughter Debra Ann (Stadtler); his son-in-law P. Timothy Macechko; and his siblings, Lawrence, Elizabeth, Michael, John, Mary (Kern), Daniel and William.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Bintzler (Rick) of Naples, FL and Tim Hayes (Sonja) of Bonita Springs, FL; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hayes (Lena Murphy) and Olivia Hayes of Columbus, OH; and his fiancée Doris Brosek of Middleburg Heights, OH.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
