Custer left this world on July 16, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Tanner and Louise Tanner (McGowen); and his wife Doris Tanner (Crow). He is survived by: his children, Donna (Ray Turi), Custer Allen, II (Carla Tanner) and John (Rhonda Tanner); and his siblings, Vernon Tanner of Fairchance and Linda Yancheck of Surprise, Arizona.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Herod-Rishel Funeral Home (501 Morgantown St, Point Marion, PA 15474). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
