With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Barkey of Rootstown, Ohio, who passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Barkey to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Barkey and Helen Heid; his brother Jacob (Fritz); his in-laws, Paul and Grace Hogarth; and his son Steven (Cheryl).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Michael (Cindy), Jeffrey (Marla) and Elisa Bechtel (William); and his siblings, Opal Ferris (Joey) and Robert Barkey. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Heaven of Rest, Akron, OH, in honor of Charles M. Barkey.
