He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Shadley and Catherine E. Shadley (Shaffer); and his cousin Becky. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shadley (Weaver); his daughters, Laurie Maltempi (Vince) and Brandy Miller (Robert); his stepchildren, Brian Swihart (Michele) and Crysann Swihart; his grandchildren, Sally, C. J., Dale, Luci Maltempi, Cameron, Jake, Avery Miller and Meagan Swihart; and his cousin Eric Palugh (Angie).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rootstown Church of Hope (4065 OH-44, Rootstown, OH 44272).
