He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew "Pete" Rupe and Irma Rupe (Cullison); his wife Cassandra "Cassie" Zink Rupe; and his sons, Robert Lee Rupe and Melvin Rupe Jr. (Yvonne Hoffman).
He is survived by: his daughter Marsha Ann Rupe Brown; his stepchildren, Trent Heskett (Sharon), Cary Heskett (Deb), Lorie Kane (Ron), Crystal Ransom (Jeff) and Shanda McConnell (Gary); his sister Dorothy "Pug" Berger; and his nephew Harold Cullison. He is also survived by many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ross-Frash Funeral Home (33 N Main St, Roseville, OH 43777).
