She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tempany and Doris Tempany; her husband Fred Cook; her son James Frederick Bruce; and her brother Don.

She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Varner (Rick) and Miranda Hinojosa (Ricardo); her grandchildren, Thomas Velker Jr. (Samantha), Cameron Hinojosa (Sarah Tucker), Savannah Hinojosa and Jasmine Iannantouno (Kris); her great grandchildren, Hailey, Olivia Velker, Kayden, Braysen and Ambrose Iannantouno; and her sisters, Tessa Fenn and Elsa Young. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
