She was predeceased by : her parents, Valerian Gwozdz and Helen Gwozdz (Knurek); her husband Eugene Kovach Jr.; her son Rick Kovach; her brother Dennis Gwozdz; and her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Gwozdz and Joseph Kovach.

She is survived by : her son Gary Kovach (Trudy); her grandchildren, Stephanie Kovach (Greg Woodworth), Erika Hendrickson (Kyle) and Matthew Kovach (Ari Cohen); her great grandchild Carson Woodworth; her brothers, Richard Gwozdz and Kenneth Gwozdz Sr.; and her sister-in-law Jean Gwozdz. She is also survived by family members and friends.

Memorial donations in Joyce's name may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
