He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Yost and Kathryn Eileen Frese Applegate; and his siblings, Robert Keith Applegate, Sharon Kay Cox and Sandra Leigh Nolan.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Louise Scott, Jimmy Scott of Portsmouth and Walter Spence'Buck' Applegate (Tara) of Powell; his grandchildren, Amber Scott of Portsmouth, Spencer J. and Elayna M. Applegate of Powell; and his great grandchild Sophia Paige Scott of Portsmouth.
