David B. York Obituary
The family announces the passing of David B. York of Russia, Ohio on September 28, 2026. David, born on April 25, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin York and Hilda York (Borchers); his sister-in-law Marilyn; and his in-laws, Marietta, Ed Unrast, Roman, Mildred Evers, Norma, Louis Heyne, Alfrieda, Art Lange, Leroy Heyne, Urban, Irma Arling, Ed Schlater, Frank and Mary Ann Arling.
He is survived by: his children, Carla (Mike Meyer), Ken (Shelly York), Tim (Jill York), Cheryl (Dale Winner), Gina (Dan Poling), Mike (Maria York), Maria (Jeff Hoehne) and Carrie (Bruce Borchers); his siblings, Rose, Chuck Olson of Bloomington, MN, Jim York, Denny, Trudy York, Steve, Bonnie York, Kathy, Bob Frey, Carl and Betty York; and his in-laws, Teresa Heyne, Velma Schlater, Nick and Linda Arling. He is also survived by 47 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home (555 S Liberty St, Russia, OH 45363). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Remy Catholic Church (108 E Main St, Russia, OH 45363).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. Remy Church Haiti Mission.
