He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Stewart and Iva O. Stewart; his sister Myrville; his brother-in-law Bill Brown; his brother Clarence "Sonny" Stewart; and his mother-in-law Thelma Elliott Weater.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, James Stewart II (Chastity) of Langsville and Beverly Stewart (Michael Blaettnar) of Pomeroy; his sister Marcia Elliott (Herb) of Langsville; his siblings-in-law, Sue Pearson of Pt and Dick Elliott of Pt; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Sophie Stewart of Langsville, Brycen, Quentin, Carter Smith of Pomeroy and Andrea Mahr of Rutland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and even a few great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to American Legion Post 39 in Jim's name.
