He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Mary Naomi Michael; his grandparents, Lesley Clarence Michael, Edith Michael Anders, Thomas, Sr. and Olive Shepperd Spradlin; his sister Deanna Sue Michael; and his granddaughter Kyrie Jane Michael.

He is survived by: his children, Misty Michael (Joe Wilson) of New Vienna, Sarah Bosier (Jeremy) of Sabina, Adam Michael (Erica) of Wilmington and Nicholas Michael of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Bailey (Kari Carson), Morgan Michael (Lucas Wilson), Sydney, Hunter Bosier, Leon and Landon Michael; his great grandchildren, Kaisley, Koal and Knox Michael; his brothers, Dan Michael of Sabina and Mark Michael (Kellie) of Washington Court House; and his uncles, Roger Parsons and Thomas W. Spradlin, Jr. (Ruth) of Wadsworth.
