He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson Sr. and Ruth MacBride Johnson; his former wife Juanita Allen Johnson; and his siblings, Harry, Norma, Kate, Betty, Marian, Ruth and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his wife Norma J. Weiner; his sister Ann Sauter (Melvin); his children, William III (Martha), Thomas (Rose), Kenneth (Theresa), Keith (Lucy), Diane Maguire (Mike) and Sandie Linz (Mike); and his pet Louie. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his nieces and nephews.
