She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Shaver and Alta R. Greenwood; her husband Pete Gus Christakis; her son Gregory Christakis; and her siblings, Frederick, Paul, Dale, David, Anthony, Charles Shaver, Agnes Addison, Betty Major, Rosemary Long and Rita Planey.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Burgess (Michael) of Akron; her daughter-in-law Kelly Christakis; her grandchildren, Ryan Burgess (Nicole), Evan Burgess (Ashley), Mason Burgess, Jessica and Matthew Christakis; and her great grandchildren, Evan Jr. and Jack Burgess. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
