He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mescher and Katherine Mescher (Walterbusch); his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; his son Keith Mescher; his in-laws, Vincent, Olivia Mescher, Nobert Mescher, Leonard, Loretta Otte, Norma, Ivo Brackman, Wilbert, Carol Mescher, Rita, Elmer Siefring, Richard, Carolyn Mescher, Linus and Margaret Mescher; his siblings, Theresa and Elmer Mescher; his in-laws, Fred Schmitz and Mel Behr; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Armella Schmitz.
He is survived by: his children, Julie (Chris Homan), Brian (Emily Mescher), Timothy (Nancy Mescher) and Scott Mescher of Centerville; his stepchildren, Mike Shardo, Angela (Shardo), Jeff Nunn, Jacqueline Shardo, Dan and Rebecca Shardo; and his in-laws, Jan Mescher, Alfreda, Glen Anderson, Ron, Marlene Schmitz, Mary Schmitz, Diane, Joe Pohlman, Mary Moeller (Mike Schneider), Mary Bergman, Linda Behr, Jeanne, Tom Boerger, Nick Bergman, Jeannie Bergman, John, Janet Bergman, Elaine and Steve Luthman. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as siblings.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the N. J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc. - St. Henry (221 E Main St, St Henry, OH 45883). A Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (272 E Main St, New Weston, OH 45348).
