She was predeceased by: her parents, George Koenig and Edna Koenig (Feltz); her husband Don Schmit; her sister Rosie; her brothers-in-law, Nick Pleiman and Lewis Snider; her brother Frank; her sister-in-law Dorothy Ann Koenig; and her brother Carl Koenig.
She is survived by: her son Randy Schmit (Lisa (Hays), family: Lucas, Emily Schmit, Tyler, Mindy Schmit, Trent, Jamie Schmit, Adam, Leanna Schulze); her sisters, Rita Snider of Marysville and Joanne Koenig of Coldwater; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Koenig of Maria Stein, Roger (Diane Schmit) and Ken Schmit of St. Henry.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the N. J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc. - St. Henry (221 E Main St, St Henry, OH 45883). A Mass was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (272 E Main St, St Henry, OH 45883).
