He was predeceased by: his parents, Al Heitkamp and Edna Heitkamp (Nieberding); his brother Gary Heitkamp; and his sister-in-law Roxanne Heitkamp. He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Heitkamp (Lillian) of St. Marys, David Heitkamp of New Haven and Pat Schmidt of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Rosemary Heitkamp of Youngstown, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
