With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James E. Phillips of Saint Marys, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on February 26, 2022 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Phillips and Kathryn Phillips (Thompson); his wife Betty Jean Norris; and his sister Peggy Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Stephen Phillips (Rachael) of Upland, IN and Dr. Brad Phillips (Mary Kay) of Lexington, KY; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Sabelhaus (Frank), C. Ryan Phillips (Andrea), Christy Dam (Bryan), Julia Guerrero (Rafael), Dr. David Phillips (Janelle) and Sarah Hollihan (Timothy).
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home (1122 E Spring St, St Marys, OH 45885). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice 1122 E. Spring St. St. Marys, OH 45885 or the Tree of Life Benevolence Fund at Otterbein, St. Marys.
