We bid farewell to Janice Homan of Saint Marys, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 27, 2025 at the age of 73. Janice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Heitkamp and Hilda Heitkamp (Muhlenkamp); her grandson Andrew Dickinson; her son-in-law Daniel Dentinger; her brothers, Melvin Heitkamp (Evelyn) and Paul Heitkamp (Stella); and her siblings-in-law, Julie Heitkamp, Tom Litmer, Marita Dahlinghaus, Lavern Homan, Elizabeth Homan and Carolyn Homan.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Lee Homan; her children, Lisa Permelia (Mark) of Miamisburg, Joyce Dentinger of Montgomery, Janelle Holtzapple (James) of St. Marys, Marian Dickinson (Jimmy) of Montgomery, Lee Homan (Janelle) of St. Marys, Mark Homan (Laura) of St. Marys and Darren Homan (Brittany) of St. Marys; her grandchildren, Emily, Michael Permelia, Wesley, Haley, Timothy Dentinger, Quinn, Vincent, Reagan Holtzapple, Joshua, Samantha, Jacob Dickinson, Ezekiel, Max, Evelyn, Vance Homan, Cole, Miles, Della Homan, Bentley and Paisley Homan; her siblings, Dorothy Chaney of Ft. Loramie, Eileen Litmer of St. Joe, Willie Heitkamp (Barb) of St. Henry, Elmer Heitkamp of St. Anthony, Ruth Sutter of St. Henry, John Heitkamp (Millie) of Tipp City, Ken Heitkamp of North Carolina, Ron Heitkamp (Donna) of Coldwater and Dan Heitkamp (Mary) of Coldwater; and her siblings-in-law, Don Dahlinghaus of Celina, Lester Homan of Dayton, Marcia Homan of Anna, Marvin Homan of New Bremen, Sharon Ontrop (Dennis) of Ft. Recovery, Orval Homan (Helen) of Minster, Carol Wirick (Steve) of Vandalia, Eugene Homan (Mary Jane) of New Bremen and Steve Homan (Therese) of Celina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (511 E Spring St, St Marys, OH 45885).
