She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Werner and Thelma Werner (Rainey); her husband Laurel Bodey; her son Keith Bodey; and her siblings, Philip Werner (Debbie) and Norma Loudenback (David).
She is survived by: her children, Diane Burkhart (David), Jenni Fry (Phil) and Dale Bodey (Rita); and her grandchildren, Stacy Hammon, Chele Westervelt, Nikki Westervelt, Stacy Ferguson, Scott Bodey, Kelli Barnes, Andy Burkhart and James Fry. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Atkins, Shively & Vernon Funeral Home (216 S Springfield St, St Paris, OH 43072). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
