He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Konicki and Helen Konicki (Glaser); his wife Joyce Konicki; and his grandson Joshua Lightle. He is survived by: his children, Theresa Lightle Atkins, Donna Grillot (Alvin), Joseph Konicki (Bobi), Richard Konicki (Mindy) and David Konicki (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Alessio, Davide Aiola, Justin Konicki (Rachel), Olivia Arthur (Jacob), Leila and Sabrina Konicki. He is also survived by grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Atkins, Shively & Vernon Funeral Home (216 S Springfield St, St Paris, OH 43072). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Graveside service will be held October 1, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio, Memorial contributions may be made to Angels for Elders LLC, 124 N Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365.
