She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Thorn and Alvada Thorn (Justice); her children, Valerie Rae Simpson, Gary L. Simpson and Danny E. Simpson; and her granddaughter Hannah E. Schnorrenberg.
She is survived by: her children, Wally G. Simpson (Carlie) of Salem, James I. Simpson (Patty) of Myrtle Beach, SC, LaVonne Simpson and Darla Schnorrenberg of Salem. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
