He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Smith and Rosemary Smith of Salineville; his sisters, Rose Pelley of Salineville and Donna Madison of Lisbon; and his close friend Mattie.
He is survived by: his significant other Cynthia Ann Smith; his children, Lisa Fowler (Brent) of Lykens, PA, Randy Smith (Mendy) of Lisbon and Luanne Shaffer (Brad) of Millersburg, PA.; his grandchildren, Jaci Collier (Bill), Corey Smith (Jessica), Ryan Fowler (Kelly), Peyton Reed (Brandon), Stephanie Lenker (Lyle), Dylan Shaffer and Morgan Shaffer; and his pet Riley. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stark Memorial (1014 E State St, Salem, OH 44460). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (935 E State St, Salem, OH 44460).
