With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlyn Waterbeck of Salem, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Smith and Clarice McKinney Smith; her son John; her husband John Leroy Waterbeck; her grandchild Misti Kathleen; her son-in-law Jim Mayhew; and her siblings, Gladys Olson, Vivian Skaggs, Hulda Vest, Betty Osborne, Sonny and Tommy Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Mayhew, Karen "Casey" Gromley (Philip), Tembra Martin, Buddy Wood (Debbie) and Mike Waterbeck (Sharon); her grandchildren, Philip (Rhiannon), Brandy (Tim), Christopher (Angie), Shannon (Brian), Annie, Diana (Chris), Trevin, Suzanne (Shane), Kaylin (Tim) and Alex; her great grandchildren, Seth, Gavin, Keegan, Kenna, Delaney, Aiden, Kyliee, Aubrianna, Charlotte, Winston, Jules and Darcy; her siblings, Frances Hart (Angus), Tim Smith and Joe Smith (Barb); and her sister-in-law Freda Smith.
