He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Barnard and Essie Gorby Barnard; his sister Pearl; his brother-in-law Leonard Bennett; his niece Malinda McIlduff; and his stepbrother Carl Barnard, Jr..
He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Barnard; his daughters, Tammy Lloyd (Bud), Tracy Barnard (Joe) and Tonya Bryant; and his grandchildren, Samantha Newton, Madisin Bryant and Haidin Bryant. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
