He was predeceased by: his parents, William Boyd and Isabel Louise McElwee (Clagett); his granddaughters, Amanda and Catherine Dow; and his sisters, Janice Isherwood, Verna Borst and Nora McElwee.
He is survived by: his wife Karen McElwee of Salem; his daughter Pamela Dow (Jonathan) of Hendersonville, TN; his granddaughters, Bethany Dow of Columbia, TN and Rachel Dow of Soddy-Daisy, TN; and his sister June Hale of Westminster, CO. He is also survived by extended family, including an aunt, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
