He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Carl and Charlotte Meta Hoefert (Eichler); and his son Matthew Charles Hoefert. He is survived by: his wife Susan "Sue" Hoefert (Riley); his daughters, Jennifer Bilbrey (Craig) and Charlotte Hoefert; and his grandchildren, Caleb Hoefert, Elijah, Emily Bilbrey, Alice and Layla Hoefert.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the David F. Koch Funeral & Cremation Services (520 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870).
