She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Kern and Evelyn Kern (Peltier); her husband George Harkness; and her siblings, Shirley Duggan, Lurlynn Smith and Robert Kern.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Windau (Ed) of Sandusky, George "Toby" Harkness (Connie) of Sandusky, Lisa Filipucci (Steve) of Castalia and Julie Kuns (Gary) of Tipp City; her grandchildren, Melissa, Lori, Jamie, Jen, Patrick, Cameron, Bobby, Tony, Jason, Andrew, Kaley, Mathew and Mackenzie; her great grandchildren, Calli, Ben, Abby, Megan, Luke, Channing, Emery, Aiden, Laurel, Alayna, Griffin, Peyton, Sophia, Julia, Rayann and Isabella; and her friend Donna Sessler of Castalia. She is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.
