He was predeceased by: his parents, Denzel David and June Estell Downs (Bauer); his wife Kathleen A. "Kathy" Downs (Hiss); his daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Downs; his great grandchild Evelyn Fox; and his brother Dana Downs.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Hofacker (Joey) of Sandusky, OH, Jennifer (Isidore "Isie") of Cleburne, TX and Daniel Downs (Susana) of Castalia, OH; his grandchildren, Wayne Michael Fox, Cheyenne Cardona (Diamond), Caleb Schlett, Tessa, Lillian Shank, Veronica Vaughn, Elliana and Lucas Downs; his great grandchild Amelia Fox; his siblings, Dianne McGee, Doug Downs (Donna) of Sandusky and Jeff Downs (Valerie) of Sandusky; his sister-in-law Theresa Downs (Walker) of Kalamazoo, MI; and his close friend Nancy Stallkamp of Sandusky, OH.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
