Ernestine Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick D. Vance and Gertrude Reid Vance; her husband Simon Myers; and her siblings, Frederick, Lafayette, James Vance, Elizabeth Gant, Edith Ellington and Estella Greene.
She is survived by: her children, Tina P. Ray (Alfred), Alicia Morris (Keith) and Jason Myers (Carlier) of Richmond Heights, OH.; her siblings, William Donald Vance (Dannie) of Sarasota, FL, David Vance (Debra) of Sandusky, OH and Joan; her grandchildren, Jamila Ray of Baltimore, MD, Janay Ray of Columbus, OH, Olivia Myers of Richmond Heights, OH, Jabari Ray of New York, NY and Jumaane Ray of Columbus, OH; and her great grandchildren, Leonidas, Thales, Atticus Ray of New York, NY and Juleean Jones of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives, friends.
A wake was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889). Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (1215 Pierce St, Sandusky, OH 44870).
