It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Knaus of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Knaus and Grace Knaus (Penn); his wife Laura Lee Knaus (Scyoc); and his sisters-in-law, Rose Richardson, Mary and Eva.
He is survived by: his son David Dax Earl Knaus of Medina; his close friend Carol Catri (Wagner); his siblings-in-law, Susan Knaus, Frances Scyoc, Alice Knapp, Harold Scyoc, Jr., Daniel Scyoc, Tom Scyoc (Clare) and William Scyoc (Donna); and his sibling's children, John Knaus (Mellisa), Scott Scyoc (Donna), Earl Knaus III (Christine), Timothy Knaus (Liz), Thomas Knaus, Jennifer and Tina Knaus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
