With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Groscost of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on October 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joseph leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Glenn Groscost and Geraldine Kennedy Groscost. He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Barb" Mowry Groscost; his children, Hannah Kennedy (Michael) of Greensboro, GA and Hans Groscost (Sue) of Sandusky, OH; and his siblings, Jim Groscost and Mary Ellen Wieber.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services (520 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sandusky Yacht Club (529 E Water St, Sandusky, OH 44870).
The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Sandusky High School Athletic Department, c/o the Aquatic Center, 2130 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
